SkinKool cryogen, known chemically as 1,1,1,2, tetrafluoroethane, is an extremely effective coolant system for Candela lasers such as GentleLASE, GentleLASE Plus, GentleYAG, SmoothBeam, and VBeam. These lasers are used for a whole host of purposes, including laser hair removal, vein removal, age spots, skin rejuvenation and port-wine stains. Our 1,1,1,2 tetrafluoroethane is ultra-pure, the same grade as Candela's.

Cryogen is safe and effective, but it also offers a non-messy and uniform method of cooling.  Cryogen is sprayed onto the skin by the Candela laser handpiece. It protects the surface of the skin and skin structures between hair follicles, can lower the risk of blistering and pigment changes, and can prevent pain and excessive swelling. Cryogen also allows higher fluences to be used for more effective results. Darkly pigmented skin can also be treated more effectively.

Our DISTANCE GAUGES (spot sizes) are made from the highest quality heat-resistant amber plastic. It fits the whole family of GentleLASE and GentleYAG lasers. They are available in spot sizes of 18 mm, 15 mm, and 12 mm. Our distance gauges are made in the United States and are the same quality as Candela's.
